‘To Have This Tattoo in ’94, I Was an Outlaw’ Richie Bulldog | Heavily Inked

My Dear Friends of Figma in

Tattooing was still illegal in New York City when Richie Bulldog got his first tattoo, so there wasn’t a shop he could simply stroll into. Through word of mouth he found a basement in Brooklyn where he could get some ink, and waited for hours in a line that went down the street before getting a bulldog tattoo, naturally. That was the start of a lifelong love affair with tattooing. We spoke with Richie about that first tattoo, what it meant to have a neck tattoo in the early ’90s and much more in this episode of Heavily Inked.
